Author Biography
Stuart is a Chartered Accountant with almost two decades of experience in finance. He has spent a large proportion of this time training people for recognised professional qualifications and offering related development training to management and staff at all levels. Stuart is a Director of Financial Fluency Ltd (www.financial-fluency.co.uk), where he works directly with clients to deliver a range of business and finance focused training solutions for trainee accountants, qualified accountants and non-finance professionals. He also advises the board of one the UK's top Accounting Institutes. He offers traditional training, facilitated workshops, simulations, e-learning as well as finance coaching. Stuart previously worked for a big four accountancy firm and one of Europe's leading training providers. Over the years Stuart has taught thousands of accountants to pass their professional exams and kept them up to date once qualified. He has written and delivered numerous finance training courses, both face-to-face and using e-learning technology. He has authored exams, audio guides, podcasts, training videos and two books for Harper Collins. Stuart is particularly motivated by helping people from non-finance backgrounds to understand financial matters. His success in this field encouraged him to write this book so he could help even more people get to grips with finance basics.
