Description
It has been argued for some time that the only way to improve the language learning of Britons in general is to start earlier, as many other European countries do. Up to now only Scotland has really begun to implement primary foreign language schemes, but there is a growing groundswell of opinion in support of its devlopment. This book is addressed to policy makers and teachers who are considering the possiblity of getting involved in the teaching of MFL in the primary school. It aims to help them to decide whether they are ready to embark on such a move and draw them into a discussion about the issues they will need to consider. The text provides practical guidelines to support the devlopment of classroom practice.
