Life in Riverfront: A Middle Western Town Seen through Japanese Eyes

Description

This case study of a town in Wisconsin was conducted by two Japanese anthropologists. The researchers used their Japanese cultural origins to interpret life in Riverfront City. Finding a place to live, bearing a child and raising it, and everyday experiences they had as fieldworkers are examined here. Culturally sensitive questions are raised in the beginning of some chapters and cultural dialogues are used to understand how good it is to engage in communication between peoples who have different cultural backgrounds.
