Description
Now a New York Times bestseller! Tory Burch sees the world in color, inspired by people, places, and ideas - all of which influence her brand, synonymous with print and color. In her first book, she explores what living in color means to her. The book is organized by color, each one brought to life through images of her own collections and travels; how she entertains; style icons; the works of artists, authors, and interior designers she admires; and the advice of business leaders - many of whom are interviewed within. The book also offers a glimpse into the more personal moments in Tory's life, such as family trips with her boys or the indelible ways in which her parents, Buddy and Reva Robinson, influenced her collection, company, and philosophy. The foreword is written by Anna Wintour, artistic director of Cond\u00e9 Nast and editor-in-chief of Vogue, and the cover features Damien Hirst's Beautiful Primal Urges Rug, \u00a9 Damien Hirst and Science Ltd., all rights reserved / DACS, London / ARS, NY 2014. Reviews"A multifaceted look book illustrating where the design icon finds inspiration. While some of her sources (Paris, Yves Saint Laurent, lush gardens) are to be expected, others--obscure poems, hip-hop artists, apricots--provide a deeper perspective on how a former art history student built a fashion empire."-- "O: The Oprah Magazine" "Might trigger envy with its sunny imagery of places, people, music and memories that inspire Burch's designs, but it might also inspire a dreamy January vacation."-- "Chicago Tribune" "The fashion mogul draws readers into her vibrant world in a new book full of her guiding passions."-- "Los Angeles Times" "Tory Burch's new book is all about color, a compilation of all of the influences that inspire her, from people to music to art to culture to travel to home design."-- "Associated Press" "Sometimes it can feel like designer coffee table books are a dime a dozen. Yes, the photos are gorgeous and the clothes to-die-for, but they somehow all seem to leave a bit to be desired. Not so with Tory Burch's new (and first) book, Tory Burch: In Color, which has just skyrocketed to the top of our must-buy list--and it's not just because we love the designer."-- "InStyle.com"
