Description

James Hudson Taylor (1832-1905) was a missionary to China, whose passionate commitment led to the founding of the China Inland Mission, now called the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. One of the first western missionaries to adopt Chinese dress (enduring the mockery of his colleagues) he served in China for 51 years, outliving two wives, and bringing at least 800 missionaries to the country. He personally baptised at least 50,000 converts and inspired the famous cricketer C.T. Studd to become a missionary, leading to the formation of the group known as the Cambridge Seven. This popular account, written and drawn by Christians in Hong Kong, introduces the Hudson Taylor story to a wholly new audience.
