Description

A collection of feel-good stories about new beginnings from three bestselling Australian authors. The Red Dirt Road by Alissa Callen After losing a patient, Dr Fliss Knight is back in small town Woodlea to embrace the isolation of rural life. But all her plans for solitude run aground when she meets the cowboy who will be staying in the renovated stables at the end of her country garden. Hewitt too has come to Woodlea needing space in which to heal and, despite his reserve, Fliss finds him impossible to ignore. As a family secret threatens every truth Fliss has ever known, and the heavy spring rain continues to fall, both Fliss and Hewitt must face their deepest fears. But will love be enough to guarantee happiness or will the past refuse to relinquish its dark hold? Run for the Hills by Carla Caruso After leaving her wealthy hotelier groom at the altar, Bridie needs to lay low while the media storm passes. Working for a wedding business run by an attractive paparazzo might not be ideal, but it's slim pickings for work in the small Adelaide Hills town of Balkissoch. Cody seeks out secrets for a living, so blurring the lines of their professional relationship is a dangerous game. One they both seem intent on playing. The Sweetest Secret by Jacquie Underdown Ellie always falls for the wrong man. After her latest disastrous relationship, opening a florist shop in the small town of Alpine Ridge seems like the perfect fresh start. Local vineyard owner Sam also understands bad relationships and prefers to avoid romance in favour of spending his downtime growing flowers in his backyard greenhouse. When Ellie discovers Sam's nursery, a shared professional interest soon blossoms into something more. But is there a chance for a future together when they are both tied to the past?

Author Biography

Carla Caruso was born in Adelaide, Australia, and only 'escaped' for three years to work as a magazine journalist and stylist in Sydney. Previously, she was a gossip columnist and fashion editor at Adelaide's daily newspaper, The Advertiser. She has since freelanced for titles including Woman's Day, Cleo and Shop Til You Drop. These days, she writes fiction in between playing mum to twin sons Alessio and Sebastian, making fashion jewellery, and restoring vintage furniture. Oh, plus checking her daily horoscopes, jogging, and devouring trashy TV shows! Find out more on Carla's website, or follow her on Instagram and Facebook. When USA Today bestselling author Alissa Callen isn't writing, she plays traffic controller to four children, three dogs, two horses and one renegade cow who believes the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. After a childhood spent chasing sheep on the family farm, Alissa has always been drawn to remote areas and small towns, even when residing overseas. She is partial to autumn colours, snowy peaks and historic homesteads and will drive hours to see an open garden. Once a teacher and a counsellor, she remains interested in the life journeys that people take. She draws inspiration from the countryside around her, whether it be the brown snake at her back door or the resilience of bush communities in times of drought or flood. Her books are characteristically heartwarming, authentic and character driven. Alissa lives on a small slice of rural Australia in central western NSW. To find out more, visit Alissa on her website. You can also follow Alissa on Facebook and Pinterest. Jacquie resides in sunny Brisbane with her husband and two sons. Numbers and practicality are a way of life for Jacquie as she works as an accountant by day. So it's no wonder, for sanity's sake, she balances this banality with words, characters and imagination in all other possible moments. Jacquie is an author of a number of novels and writes contemporary women's fiction that is emotionally driven and possesses unique themes beyond the constraints of the physical universe. She strives to offer romance, but with complexity; spirituality, without the religion. Her novels express a purpose and offer subtle messages about life, the spirit and, of course, love.
