In this volume, Louis Pasteur discusses his ground-breaking work in developing the science of vaccination, and other important figures in the field, such as Edward Jenner and Alexander Fleming, are also interviewed about the frequently gross and gruesome experiments involved.

John Townsend is a writer of informative and entertaining non-fiction and fiction children's books for all ages. Rory Walker trained at Falmouth College of Arts and Brighton university. He has worked as a freelance illustrator and designer on computer games, advertising campaigns, magazines and children's books, for clients including the BBC, Aardman and Usborne.
