A boy and his clever cat are whisked off on a flying carpet during a storm, taking them on exciting global adventures. Pepper Masalah and her human, Zam, are whisked away on a magic carpet and find themselves in a faraway land. Can their bond and their new friends help them find their way home?

Rosanne Hawke lives in rural South Australia in an old Cornish farmhouse. She has written over 16 books for young people including The Keeper, Soraya, the Storyteller, and Mustara. Many of her books have been shortlisted, or named as Notable Books in the CBCA Awards. Across the Creek won the Holyer an Gof Award in Cornwall. Rosanne has been a teacher, and for almost 10 years was an aidworker in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. She is a Carclew, Asialink, Varuna, and May Gibbs Fellow, and a Bard of Cornwall. Rosanne enjoys writing about family, multicultural issues, music and cats. Jasmine Berry grew up in beautiful Albany, Western Australia. She has been drawing to impress the other kids, since she was old enough to hold a colouring pencil. But lately, she crafts these exciting and magical worlds with her computer, iPad and many coffees. She lives in Perth with her husband and with two adorable cats, and a rather large collection of succulents.
