Elise Primavera has been writing and illustrating children's books for more than twenty-five years. She has received numerous awards for her work and in 2004 was asked to illustrate the Christmas Brochure for the White House. Her bestselling book, Auntie Claus, has sold over half a million copies and is in development for a feature length animated movie. Some of her illustrated middle grade novels include the popular The Secret Order of the Gumm Street Girls, Libby of High Hopes, and Ms. Rapscott's Girls. She lives in New Jersey. Juana Medina was born in Bogota, Colombia, where she grew up getting in trouble for drawing cartoons of her teachers. Eventually, all that drawing (and trouble) paid off. Juana studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she has also taught. And she has done illustration and animation work for clients in the US, Latin America, and Europe. She now lives in Washington, DC, where she teaches at George Washington University.
