Description
Jerusalem is a special place. It brings people together-and rarely snows When one day it does snow, three friends have a playful debate about who the snow belongs to. When they ask some of the most trusted people in their community, they have a great surprise: the priest, the rabbi, and the imam all say the same thing. Here is a joyful story about sharing-and how we are more similar than different.

Pei-Yu Chang was born in 1979 in Taipeh, Taiwan, where she studied German language, culture, and literature. On completion of her Master's Degree, she traveled to Germany to do a doctorate on "Chaos Theory in Literary Studies" at Munster University. There she discovered her passion for book illustration. ReviewsChang's distinctive illustration style mixes creamy texture, collaged elements, and expressive faces to depict the layered complexities of the children's homeland.-- "Publishers Weekly" Chang's illustrations convey the gravity and touch of whimsy packed into this hopeful little story.-- "New York Times" Chang's art has childlike appeal but captures both the exhilaration of a surprise as well as the trouble and bitter feelings that come with prejudice...A good starting place for discussion. --Ilene Cooper "Booklist"
