Description
What's the difference if she has light skin and yours is a little darker? All that matters is the artwork you create together is as colorful as possible . . . As he did in I Wonder, parenting guru Doyin Richards tackles a timely and universal subject-diversity and acceptance-and distills it for the youngest readers. Because what matters most is not our differences, but what we do together as friends, as families, as colleagues, as citizens. Perfect for sharing as a family or in the classroom, this book should find a place in homes and in hearts.

Doyin Richards is one of the most respected and in-demand voices on modern fatherhood today. He's the founder of Daddy Doin' Work, author of the picture book I Wonder: Celebrating Daddies Doin' Work (Feiwel and Friends, 2016), and Daddy Doin' Work: Empowering Mothers to Evolve Fatherhood. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their two daughters. You can follow him on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter: @daddydoinwork.
ReviewsWatch Me: Bold, fresh, and contemporary, the images carry the emotional weight of the deceptively simple narrative. Together, the words and art attain a perfect balance, resulting in a story that honors Dr. Joe and declares unequivocally that there is room for everyone's dreams--"there is enough for everyone." --Booklist I Wonder: Writing in the voice of a parent expressing his hopes for his child, author and Daddy Doin' Work blogger Richards strikes an affecting balance between insecurity and strength. . . Dads (and kids) of all types should find Richards's message deeply reassuring and relatable. --Publishers Weekly, starred review Well-known blogger and speaker Richards turns his attention to the picture-book set with this photo-heavy title about fathers and their children. . . Accompanying each photo is a sweet first-person statement, many of which express questions about fatherhood: "I wonder if you enjoy seeing me work my magic in the kitchen" or "I wonder if you're scared when I ask you to try new things." The emphasis on dads being active, involved parents is refreshing. --Booklist
