I'm sure my mum won't mind, I thought, he's really very small. One tiny pygmy marmoset could do no harm at all . . . But when he is followed by six red-handed howlers, six macaques, ten capuchins and two great big baboons there's going to be trouble! Alex grew up in Hampshire with her head in the clouds and her nose in a book. After a maths degree and a few years wrangling spreadsheets, she decided to revisit her first love - children's books. She hasn't looked back since. Alex graduated with distinction from the Bath Spa University MA in Writing for Young People in 2018. Her picture books have been short-listed for the Dundee Picture Book Award, chosen by BookTrust as part of their Bookstart Corner programme and selected by The Reading Agency for the Summer Reading Challenge.
