When he became a dad, he was inspired to create this series for the littlest readers. J. Torres lives in Whitby, Ontario. J. LUMis an Eisner Award nominated designer who sometimes explores being an illustrator. She has led graphic publishing workshops for post-secondary and continuing education programs. TheCheckers and Dotseries is her first foray into the world of children's book illustration. J. Lum lives in Toronto, Ontario.
