Description

This romping rhyme with a wicked sense of humour is the outstanding debut ofgraphic artist Craig Shuttlewood. Who's in the tree that shouldn't be? Who in thesnow just does not go? As we visit different habitats, picking up each out-of-placeanimal as we go, things get more and more ludicrous until all the animals are back inthe zoo. And the only one who doesn't live in the zoo is... YOU!

Reviews

Little ones love the excitement of lifting a flap and discovering a surprise underneath. The surprises in this book are very clever as the animal pictured underneath is totally unexpected - who would expect an elephant in the sky or a peacock under the sea? There is a quirky rhyming text and lots of sub-comments to keep interest alive. This unusual book offers lots of opportunities to talk about animals and their homes, stimulated by the beautiful illustrations and charming images. At the end, children are asked to recognise all the creatures. The book is made in good quality card so will withstand all the enthusiastic handling it is bound to receive. A lovely fun book which will be much enjoyed. -- Sarah * Parents in Touch *
