Description
Birt and Etho are best friends, they play on Sudden Hill, making marvellous contraptions out of cardboard boxes. But then a new boy, Shu, wants to join in too. Birt isn't sure that he wants Shu to join them. Eaten up with jealousy, he goes home and refuses to come out to play. Until Etho and Shu come to his house with the most marvellous cardboard contraption so far... A compelling story about accepting someone new, written by Linda Sarah and illustrated by Benji Davies, the bestselling illustrator of The Storm Whale series. Author Biography
Linda grew up dreaming of being a fire fighter. That was before she moved to Paris, working as a singer and piano player while raising her son. She returned to Britain and got her Fine Art degree at the Slade School of Fine Art, whilst working as a waitress and a few other small things. She then started making children's books, which she thinks is the best job ever! (and would never have made a good firefighter anyway - as she is very short-sighted and claustrophobic). Benji Davies was born and raised in Peterborough. After studying Animation at university, a thirst for pastures new led to London, where he now resides, drawing pictures (and sometimes make them move!). His books - including the much-loved The Storm Whale and Grandad's Island are international bestsellers, and have been translated into over 35 different languages.
