Description
Marmaduke's not like all the other dragons - his ears are too big and he never even tries to fly. He just doesn't fit in, however much he wants to, and so he feels terribly lonely. And Princess Meg? Well, she wears trainers and breaks into dance at the most inappropriate of times, which means that she sticks out like a sore thumb. She doesn't really have any friends, but then she's far too busy having fun to notice . . . Until one day when Marmaduke and Meg's lives collide in the most exciting, brilliant and surprising way and they both realise just how much they need each other. And, who knows, maybe a princess and a dragon will make the most perfect best friends.
Author Biography
Rachel Valentine was born in Kent and grew up in both the UK and Germany. She read psychology at Warwick University, then physiotherapy at Brunel before going on to practise as a physiotherapist in the NHS in London until her husband's work took them to Singapore in 2006, where they still live. Marmaduke is Rachel's very first picture book. Ed Eaves has been working as an illustrator since 2000, when he graduated from Kingston University in Surrey with a first class honours degree. Ed is the award-winning illustrator of Welcome to Alien School and How to Grow a Dinosaur (both published by Simon & Schuster). Ed now lives in a village on the Kent coast with his wife and fellow illustrator Rebecca Finn and their two dogs.
