Author Biography

Jeanne Willis has had successful careers both in advertising and as an author writing over eighty picture books, poetry books, television scripts and novels for children. Her teenage novel Naked Without a Hat was shortlisted for the Whitbread Children's Book Award and Dumb Creatures was longlisted for the Carnegie Medal. Her other novels include the Goffins series, Shamanka (9781844286492) and Grandad and John (9781844288984); and her picture books include Wild Child (9781406323085), Mummy, Do You Love Me? (9780744570847), Never Too Little to Love (9780744596502) and Emily Peppermint's Toy School (9781406332926). She lives in London, N14. Joel Stewart has illustrated several celebrated children's books including The Adventures of a Nose (9780744581386) by Viviane Schwarz and The Jabberwocky (9781844284764) by Lewis Carroll.
