But the performance is only days away and Maggie is all aflutter about how she can possibly be ready in time. Daisy decides to help by writing Maggie a strict schedule and making sure she keeps to it. All goes well until Daisy's further good intentions lead to a wardrobe disaster for Maggie, saved only by their Aunt Acacia, a master seamstress. But then when the overzealous mother of a competitor threatens to sabotage Maggie's duet with Melody the Magpie, Daisy has the chance to save the day and redeem herself.

Jodie's life has revolved around kids and their books. Working in public libraries on the weekends when she was younger, she discovered her favourite kids' authors, and those that still inspire her. She studied teacher-librarianship at university and has been a practising teacher for almost 20 years, but writing has never been far from her thoughts - teaching during the day and writing at night. She has published articles, reviews and teacher resources both on an off the web. Jodie has been the President of the Sutherland Shire Branch of The Fellowship of Australian Writers, a committee member of the Illawarra Branch of the Children's Book Council of Australia and the founder and Coordinator of the Sutherland Shire Writers' Festival. She lives in Sydney's south.
