Author Biography

Scott Lobdell wrote both Uncanny X-Men and X-Men during the 1990s. He also launched Generation X and Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, and penned Alpha Flight and Fantastic Four. Elsewhere, he wrote Dark Horse's Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Fabian Nicieza, Wildstorm's Gen13, Top Cow's Darkness, and IDW's Ghostbusters Displaced Aggression and Galaxy Quest. Lobdell scripted Stan Lee's animated film Mosaic and has performed as a stand-up comedian. British writer James Robinson made a name for himself in the late 1980s with several indie series before getting enthusiastic reviews for his work on DC series Starman, Justice Society of America and Superman. For Marvel, he has scripted Generation X, Fantastic Four and All-New Invaders. He has written several feature-film screenplays - including the adaptation of the comic book The League of Extraordinary Gentleman - and directed Comic Book Villains, which he also wrote. Chris Bachalo spent the early years of his career collaborating with writer Neil Gaiman; his quirky style proved a perfect fit for the offbeat Sandman character Death in Death The High Cost of Living and its sequel, Death The Time of Your Life. His initial Marvel work on Generation X began a long association with the X-Universe across various titles that saw him become a fan-favorite artist for Marvel's mutants. Subsequently, he created Steampunk with Joe Kelly, and made forays into the Ultimate Universe and a big splash in the "Brand New Day" era of Amazing Spider-Man. His art has also graced the pages of New Avengers and the Dark Reign Sinister Spider-Man limited series, as well as Marvel NOW!'s Uncanny X-Men. Bachalo's unique style proved a perfect fit for reinvigorating Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme along with writer Jason Aaron on Doctor Strange. His subsequent work has included Deadpool and the high-octane, web-slinging action of Non-Stop Spider-Man. Brazilian artist Joe Bennett debuted on Marvel's Ravage 2099. He then drew Image Comics' Supreme, and returned to Marvel as the artist of Nova, X-51 and The Crew. Bennett has contributed to Captain America, Amazing Spider-Man and Thor, and worked extensively at DC Comics, including on 52. His work on Immortal Hulk won him new levels of acclaim.
