Author Biography

Kansas City native Dennis Hopeless has been writing independent comics since 2007 - including Gearhead (Arcana), a four-issue super-hero vengeance tale, and LoveSTRUCK (Image), an original graphic novel about how you don't have to believe in love to make it. Hopeless made a big name for himself at Marvel with the shocking Avengers Arena, and his reputation has grown on books including Cable and X-Force, the Disney Kingdoms title Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and various limited series. On Spider-Woman, Hopeless has wowed fans of Jessica Drew by giving her a new look and even a baby. Artist Greg Land first gained notice with his work on DC's Batman-family titles Nightwing and Birds of Prey. Moving to Marvel after illustrating CrossGen's Sojourn, he drew Phoenix Endsong. Next up was a run on Ultimate Fantastic Four that included the first rendering of the Marvel Zombies. Subsequently, Land penciled the blockbuster limited series Ultimate Power before becoming a regular artist on Uncanny X-Men. Multitalented Spanish artist Javier Rodriguez is a former graphic designer turned colorist and penciler who has brought his distinctive hues to titles including The Mighty Thor and Doctor Strange The Oath. Rodriguez has handled both penciling and coloring duties on Amazing Spider-Man. And having helped maintain the impressive artistic standards of Mark Waid's Daredevil with his mastery of the palette, grabbed the chance to also wow readers with his line work on the title. He drew and colored the first Superior Spider-Man Annual before bringing his distinctive style to the new-look Spider-Woman. Spanish artist Natacha Bustos drew the story "Going Nowhere," written by Brandon Montclare, for DC/Vertigo's Strange Sport Stories. Bustos made her Marvel Comics debut on Spider Woman before re-teaming with Montclare and co-writer Amy Reeder on Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, winner of a Glyph Award for Best Female Character in 2016.
