England's Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning have a long history of collaborations - including Marvel's Force Works and Punisher, DC's Legion of Super-Heroes and Majestic, and various Star Trek projects. Abnett has also written more than 30 best-selling Warhammer 40,000 novels and various Marvel U.K. titles, including Death's Head and Knights of Pendragon. Lanning is also a veteran inker who has lent his talents to such series as Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men. Together, they are responsible for galvanizing Marvel's contemporary genre of cosmic comics with the Annihilation and War of Kings events, and series such as Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy.
