It tells of the struggle between Soames and his beautiful wife Irene, who leaves him but cannot persuade him to grant a divorce. Reader Martin Jarvis is a well-respected British actor, whose acclaimed audiobook narration is always a delight to hear.

John Galsworthy (1867-1933) was an English novelist and playwright, who won the Nobel prize for literature in 1932.
