Description
Travel is the only thing you can buy that makes you richer. Exploring new places and getting to know new people and cultures expands our horizons, in more ways than one. All around the world there are not only adventures to be had, but stories to be shared ones that open our eyes to different ways of thinking, loving and being. It's through the small acts of compassion that we experience on the road that our faith in humanity is restored. Featuring inspirational stories from the likes of Ed Stafford, Benedict Allen, Sarah Outen, Al Humphreys, Leon McCarron, Jamie McDonald and Anna McNuff, adventuring from the Calais Jungle to the Amazon, from Land's End to the Gobi Desert, from New Guinea to Iran and many other places in-between, and with all royalties going to the Oxfam Syrian Refugee Appeal, this anthology of traveller's tales is bound to move you, and maybe encourage you to head off on your own adventure to discover the universal kindness of strangers for yourself. SELLING POINTS: Featuring 25 inspirational stories from intrepid explorers. Destinations featured include: Calais (the Jungle), USA, Canada, the UK, India, New Guinea, Romania, Syria, Zambia, the West Bank, Iran, Madagascar, Brazil, Peru, Mongolia (the Gobi Desert), Siberia, China. ALL royalties go to the Oxfam Syrian Refugee Appeal.
