Description
Under Candle Bright is a book of poetry and reflection that examines the human heart and condition, and the precious and difficult elements of life. Houston pulls from personal experiences, the beauty of nature, and history. His characters are both real and fictional. He focuses on characters that often go overlooked or are misunderstood through a method of poetic story telling. Houston writes certain poems and reflections to poets and authors of the past. The book also focuses on issues such as gender, faith, relationships, love, race, poverty, refugees, immigration, and homelessness.
