Author Biography

A native of Fukuoka, Japan, Ayako began taking stitching lessons at an early age with her mother, who is also an active embroidery designer. Ayako enjoys teaching her unique styles of stitching on white embroidery, botanical embroidery, stump work and more at her studio, "Ecru" and also teaching at Japan Broadcasting's Yokohama culture center. Throughout her career, Ayako's work has been showcased by many major companies, including Toyota (2006 calendar), MisterDonut (2004 calendar), the Florida Department of Citrus, and many others.
