Author Biography

International, award winning costume and creature designer Vinilla Burnham works worldwide on feature films, television, and in the theatre. She has created costumes for such films as Batman, The Fifth Element, Lost in Space and Labyrinth. For children's Television, The BBC's 2007 production of Wind in the Willows (starring Matt Lucas on Bob Hoskins), Fungus the Bogeyman, and The Chronicles of Narnia for which she created Aslan the Lion, and for pre school television; Boohbah and In the Night Garden for Ragdoll, the creators of The Teletubbies. Vin is currently designing the costumes for a new 52 part BBC pre school series entitled ZingZillas, due to be broadcast in 2010. She is also creating her own range of children's characters as well as a collection of Costume Miniatures under the title of The Little Costume Shop. Vinilla is based in London and Los Angeles.
