Description
Materials are the single most important element underpinning all that is most innovative in 21st-century architecture, interior, product, industrial and fashion design. The profusely illustrated Material ConneXion identifies the key trends in this fast-moving area, giving the reader a full understanding of materials' potential and applications. The 'X' in ConneXion is the perfect symbolic crossroads: this is a book that connects materials to designers, for whom it will be an essential read.
Author Biography
Andrew H. Dent directs Material ConneXion's research into innovative materials and processes. George M. Beylerian, dubbed 'the guru of goo (and gels, mesh and resin)' by The New York Times, pioneered a creative approach to materials for many decades before founding Material ConneXion in 1997. Devoted to researching and evaluating new materials and based in New York, Material ConneXion also has offices in Milan and Cologne.
