Description

Rugby is, according to Massimiliano Verdino, the fusion of ancient disciplines - fighting, running, team cohesion. What moves the athletes in today's game of rugby is identical to that which has driven athletes throughout history - depicted in cave paintings that depicted physical pursuits from 20,000 years ago and illustrations of Roman and Greek games from 2,000 years ago - the need to win the contest. Verdino has placed his shots side by side with some of the greatest art works, drawing incredible parallels between the two.
