Description
This is a monograph on the Australian abstract artist Alun Leach-Jones. The book traces the evolution of his art from his arrival from the United Kingdom in 1960. It traces the evolution of his work, from his early "breakthrough" paintings of the 1960s - the "Noumenon" series for which he became nationally known - through the "Compendium" series of the 1970s to the "Romance of Death" series with its daring experiments in neon, ground glass, glitter and machine-made wood forms. The monograph culminates with his major current and ongoing series "The Gardens of the Voice".
