Author Biography

Dr Steven Hooper is Director of the Sainsbury Research Unit for the Arts of Africa, Oceania and the Americas, University of East Anglia. He specialises in the arts of the Pacific region and North America. His publications include Art & Artefacts of the Pacific, Africa & the Americas; the James Hooper Collection (1976), The Fiji Journals of Baron Anatole von Hugel, 1875-77 (1990), Pacific Material Culture (1995) and the Robert & Lisa Sainsbury Collection (1997, editor and part author).
