Description
Dogwoods, a diverse, widespread and enormously popular group of woody plants, represent some of the most appealing flowering trees available to gardeners. It is surprising that no book has been devoted to describe all of the varieties available. Paul Cappiello and Don Shadow fill that longstanding gap with this definitive reference. Aimed at both amateur gardeners and professional horticulturalists, this book covers all dogwoods currently available in nurseries. On top of the 200 colour photos that help with identification and plant selection, the authors offer helpful details on cultivation, combating pests and diseases, and the fundamentals of breeding and selection. Dogwoods is an unprecedented guide to the diversity of plants in the genus Cornus which are available in nurseries today. It will fill a key gap in knowledge about these popular plants.
