Author Biography

Lucy Chamberlain, author of Step-by-Step Veg Patch, is a regular blogger on all matters gardening for The Guardian. Before this she was editor at Grow Your Own magazine. She has also worked at RHS Garden Wisley, as gardening editor of Amateur Gardening magazine, and as Head Gardener at East Donyland Hall in Essex. Lucy was raised on her family's smallholding and has been cultivating salads and vegetables since her teenage years. Australian Consultant Jennifer Wilkinson is a freelance writer and gardener living on a self-sufficient farm in Dargo, Victoria, where she has developed her practical horticultural expertise growing a wide variety of fruit and vegetables. She has written six books on gardening and horticulture, and has been the editor of Australian Nutgrower, the nut industry journal, as well as a regular contributor of articles and photographs to the Age gardening sections. Jennifer has been a consultant on numerous DK Books.
