Description
The influence of Sabrina's Punjabi background and the European kitchens she has worked in has culminated in 90 unique and stunning recipes that are as comforting and nutritious as they are vibrant and spicy. Whilst remembering the dishes from her mother and grandmothers, she also considers our time-poor, modern lives and so creates easy, light recipes as well as larger, feasting dishes - all are packed full of flavour. In her words she is 'creating new traditions as well as honouring old'. From the Only Dal You'll Ever Need and Cauliflower Cheese Parathas to Punjabi Panzanella and Spicy Chai Shortbread, these are ingenious, considerately spiced recipes you won't have seen before. Sabrina also features stories from eight of her 'sisters' from South Aisan heritage, which continue the thread of connecting with your history whilst breaking cultural and culinary boundaries. Modern South Asian Kitchen is a thought-provoking testament to South Asian cuisine as well as a joyful celebration of how cooking food brings together communities, families and friends.
