Description
Getting your first flat is one of the most exciting times of your life. Cooking for yourself is part of the fun, but balancing the demands of a job with a busy social life can leave little time to make proper food. When Tiffany Goodall made the move she realised that what she and her friends in similar situations needed were easy, speedy and adaptable recipes to provide inspiration at the end of a long day. Written from Tiffany's own first flat, this book is perfect for busy lives and small budgets. There are recipes for nights in on your own; mid-week get-togethers with friends and weekend breakfasts and brunches. When you're in a rush, the chapter of 10-minute meals will feed you even faster than a takeaway and then when you've got a bit more time to potter there's a chapter of cakes, puddings and other irresistible naughtiness. You'll even find a selection of dishes to impress a date, as well as great party food to share. With masses of step-by-step photography and clear instructions, Tiff's recipes could not be more simple to follow. Each chapter opens with a how-to recipe teaching essential skills, such as how-to make risotto, soup, or joint a chicken. And there's no excuse for waste as she suggests how to reuse leftovers in tasty new ways. With so many ideas in one small book, First Flat Cookbook should be the first thing you unpack when you move in.
