He wrote for the National Geographic Traveler guides Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Panama, as well as the fascinating and award-winning travel diary Mi Moto Fidel: Motorcycling through Castro's Cuba . Baker-winner of the Lowell Thomas Award Travel Journalist of the Year 2008-writes regularly for publications such as the Robb Report and National Geographic Traveler magazine. He has lectured for the National Geographic Society (broadcast live on National Geographic); he has been featured in USA Today and on ABC, CBS, and Fox, as well as many other radio and TV broadcasts.
