MARKETING & PROMO: Regional and subject-specific print features, excerpts, review coverage, broadcast and television interviews Blogger outreach, online ads, and social media campaigns Publicity and promotion in conjunction with author's speaking engagements Outreach to travel and tourism organizations Excerpts available Electronic ARCs Electronic blads KEY SELLING POINTS: Features 50 routes in the southern Canadian Rockies, from Waterton in the far south to Bow Lake about 500 km to the north. Snowshoeing continues to grow in popularity as an affordable winter sport. Snowshoeing appeals to local, tourists, and families due to its low cost of entry and minimal gear requirements. Based on the Popular Day Hikes series of books, with information taken directly from Andrew Nugara's larger-format guidebooks (A Beginner's Guide to Snowshoeing in the Canadian Rockies - 2nd Edition and Snowshoeing in the Canadian Rockies - 2nd Edition), this new guide is focused on the most accessible routes in the southern Rockies. The routes included are perfect for individuals, groups, families, and tourists looking for a quick winter fix! The guide will include colour photos and maps along with useful information on starting out snowshoeing, safety concerns, gear, weather, techniques, etiquette, technology, and much more. Unlike the larger-format snowshoeing guides, this "Popular" version will be slim and easily packable, as well as being an affordable impulse buy.
