Description
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is one of the most recognizable fighter aircraft in history, and this book focuses on the Messerschmitt Bf 109F and early G models - the Friedrich and Gustav - the workhorses of the German Luftwaffe during the middle years of World War II. Detailing five different builds across the scales, and featuring aircraft in camouflage schemes and markings from the Western Desert to the Russian Steppes, this book is an excellent source of reference for both the beginner and expert modeller, on one of the most effective killing machines of World War II.

Reviews"Osprey's Modelling series shows how advanced modelers use their knowledge, skills and expertise to create incredibly and correctly detailed models of all sorts... Each book discusses how a variety of model kits are used to make authentic looking WWII vehicles... If you are looking for books that provide the high detailing to take your miniatures to the next level, you should check these books out." --Michael Koznarsky, Historical Miniature Gamer (Issue 11) "Mr. Green and contributors have created a beautifully illustrated how-to for fans of Willy Messerschmitt's iconic aerial predator. Recommended." --Fred Boucher, Aeroscale "If you are looking for [a book] with full color photos describing construction and the painting process, [this book] is exactly what you need... Full color photographs detailing each part of the particular process and finished figures. There are no black and white photos to be found... [Comes] with an extensive reference and bibliography for those who wish to learn more. For wargamers who like their Osprey books full of pictures and easy to understand 'how to' instructions, the Modelling Series may have exactly the books you need!" --HMG Reviewing Stand "... this is an excellent book on the subject. The build articles are first rate and quite well done. 109 fans will want this one on their shelves to use as a reference for their next projects." --Scott Van Aken, modelingmadness.com
