Description

Finding Your Religion is an inspiring guide for seekers who are feeling at odds with religion but in want of spiritual fulfilment. In clear, thoughtful prose, Scotty McLennan offers those "floating at sea without a spiritual port" a way to find meaning in traditional religion, whether by developing the beliefs they once took for granted or by discovering and embracing a new faith. McLennan illustrates six different stages of personal development - magic, reality, dependence, independence, interdependence, and unity - with compelling examples of people from all major world religions, and shows how each stage influences our beliefs and can lead to spiritual transformation Interest in spirituality is booming according to a nationwide survey that was conducted by the Christian Science Monitor, "nearly half of all Americans say that spirituality is more important to them today than three years ago."
