Description
The miracles of Jesus provide an endless source of debate both within and outside the churches. In this book to accompany the major BBC One television series, Michael Symmons Roberts tells the story of the miracles and examines their meaning. Each chapter is based around a famous miracle or category of famous miracles and seeks to: set the 1st century Galilean context - unpack the meaning of each miracle to Jesus and to his followers. The chapters reflect Jesus' journey of self-discovery - his moments of revelation, his doubts, his agonies. The book asks: Who was he? A healer? A prophet? The long-awaited messiah? The Son of God?
