Author Biography
Father John T. Catoir JCD, was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1960 for the diocese of Paterson, New Jersey. He is an award-winning author and writer of over 20 books and countless articles, which have been syndicated by the Catholic Media Association, formally known as the Catholic Press Association. He is a Doctor of Canon Law and served as Judicial Vicar and Chief Judge of the diocesan Marriage Tribunal for many years. In 1978 he was elected Director of The Christophers, and for the next 17 years he hosted his own nationally syndicated TV interview program called "Christopher Closeup". He is a past President of the Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada, who in 1993 gave him their highest honor: The Saint Francis De Sales Award for outstanding contributions to Catholic journalism. Today, at 90 years of age, Fr. John is still actively contributing as an experienced social media presence on his website as well as his YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter pages.
