Author Biography
An award- winning journalist now based in Jerusalem, since covering the war in Aghanistan Irris Makler has been reporting from the Middle East. She worked for the ABC for nine years, most recently as its Moscow correspondent. There she covered breaking stories like the sinking of the Kursk and the ongoing war in Chechnya. In Australia she was a reporter on ABC TV news, THE 7.30 REPORT, as well as on flagship programs AM and PM. She also worked on FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT and AUSTRALIAN STORY.
