This is a short book that attempts to show and explain what it is like to grow up as an adoptee, through illustrations and narrative. It is intended to be a descriptive and helpful tool that sheds light in a light and sometimes humorous fashion, on the serious thoughts and feelings adoptees face.
Author Biography
Ruth Monnig is an adult adoptee who has been trying to find her keys, and explain what it feels like to be adopted. She is a graduate of Duke University and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Library and Information Science. While North Carolina and Florida feel like home, she grew up in St. Louis, and lives in Denver, Colorado.
