Description

Eddies of the Kern in addition to being a collection of true adventure stories coupled with spectacular photos is a history of the author's seventy five year relationship with the Kern River, how he became intimately attached to the river as a child hunting for mushrooms in its riparian forests with his grandfather and father, and how these early adventures caused him to traverse the entire 200 mile course of the river in both summer and on skis in the winter. The early explorations of the river were the wellspring to go and see what was over the next hill and around the next curve and the motivation for adventure that led to the adventures stories in the book.
