Author Biography

Dr Sue Shepherd is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian with seventeen years' experience. Sue has coeliac disease, and in 2008, completed her PhD research into aspects of coeliac disease, Low-FODMAP Diet, fructose malabsorption and irritable bowel syndrome. Sue developed the "Low-FODMAP Diet" for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. She has graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Promotion and post graduate Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics. Her expertise is recognised internationally and she has won numerous awards including the Dietitians Association of Australia Annual Award for Achievement for outstanding contribution to the profession, and Douglas Piper Young Investigator Award from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.
