Reviews"While adopting a more plant-based diet won't solve all of the problems in our food system, it's a step in the direction of improved health and sustainability. This guide from Men's Health offers the background information you need to get started and the practical day-to-day recipe ideas to keep going. I admire anyone who takes the time to read this book." -Ryan Andrews, R.D., C.S.C.S. and author of A Guide to Plant-Based Eating "This book is a must-have for anyone who is looking to level-up their diet with plants...which should basically be everyone. I'm a huge fan of plant-forward eating, and Men's Health has hit the nail on the head with Men's Health Plant-Based Eating with simple, delicious recipes and beautiful photos. I'm looking forward to making pretty much every single thing in this book." -Abby Langer RD, author of Good Food, Bad Diet "Plant-forward eating is certainly a smart approach and the recipes within these pages make it not only possible, but amazingly tasty as well. Plants offer fiber and an abundance of nutrients, and enjoying them regularly fills you up, too. We sometimes get so caught up in eating the biggest, juiciest steak that we forget about balancing the plate with colorful goodness." -Chris Mohr, Ph.D., R.D. "Regardless of the diet trend of the season, we can always say that eating more plants is a good thing. Even as dietary guidelines change, there is always a greater emphasis on increased plants in our diet. This book serves a valuable resource on how to introduce savory plant-based eating into your regimen. You don't have to be vegetarian or vegan to give plants the proper prominent space they deserve in your diet." -Fatima Cody Stanford, M.D., MPH, MPA, FAAP, FACP, FAHA, FTOS "Too often we turn healthy eating habits into rigid rules, and unfortunately, plant-based nutrition is no exception. That's why Men's Health Plant-Based Eating is a breath of fresh air. It leverages plant-based foods to create a healthy diet that supports performance, rather than pseudoscientific fear-mongering to scare you into excluding everything else. If you want to learn how to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, tubers, lentils, beans, and all the other nutrient rich-plant based foods you've previously struggled to fit into your diet, this is the book for you." -Eric Helms PhD, CSCS, professional bodybuilder "Science tells us that improving our diet can improve our mood. If you're looking for ways to eat better, Plant-Based Eating is your answer (even if you're not a vegetarian). Recipes are straight-forward and delicious. Read on and move a step closer to a healthy body and a healthy mind." -Gregory Scott Brown, M.D., psychiatrist and wellness advocate "The Men's Health Plant-Based Eating book has a tremendous amount to offer. For over a decade, I've been fortunate enough to work with numerous professional sports teams, and have a meal or two in their nutrition and dining centers. Over the years, there has been a definite shift in these elite nutritional labs to a more plant-based diet. Gone are the ideas that elite performance requires meat or that a plant-based diet is an incomplete source of nutrients and fueling." -Christopher Winter, M.D., president, Charlottesville Neurology and Sleep Medicine "Men's Health Plant-Based Eating with Paul Kita highlights a diet rich in phytochemicals to enhance immunity and protect against infections, cancer, and many other health conditions. This lifestyle approach has more scientific evidence to support its efficacy than any other diet. Because of this, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine recommends a plant-based diet over any other for improved health and longevity." -Michael Fredericson, M.D., professor and director PM&R Sports Medicine "Emphasizing plant derived foods is a powerful tool for achieving and sustaining health. And this is an incredibly user-friendly, inclusive guide that not only details why a more plant-based approach to nutrition offers so many advantages, but more importantly reveals how each of us can leverage this knowledge with satisfied smiles on our faces!" -David Perlmutter, M.D., New York Times bestselling author of Grain Brain "In Men's Health Plant-Based Eating you get to discover the rich world of plants, and the incredible benefits they provide. You'll expand your cooking repertoire with a wide array of adventurous and flavorful plant-rich meals sure to wow your family and friends. In the end, this book will enrich and expand your perception of a plant-based diet, and give you the tools you need to easily become more plant-based, all without having to give up meat." -Brian St. Pierre, MS, RD, CSCS
