Description
This completely revised and updated 3rd edition of this unique and popular book provides a comprehensive insight into even more of the greatest wines made in Australia and New Zealand over the past 50 or more years. James Halliday's notes on vertical tastings of over 250 wines cover all the most famous names; equally absorbing are the notes for the classics of tomorrow, wines known only to a chosen few. A brief introductory background is given to each of the 82 wines chosen, and tastings range far and wide across sparkling wines, white table wines -- both dry and sweet -- dry reds and fortified wines.
