Author Biography
Joe Penhall's previous plays are Wild Turkey (Old Red Lion 1993); Some Voices (Royal Court Theatre Upstairs) winner of the John Whiting Award in 1995; Pale Horse (Royal Court Theatre Upstairs, 1995); Love And Understanding (Bush Theatre, 1997), and The Bullet (Donmar Warehouse, 1998). His most recen t play, Blue/Orange, was a huge hit winning a string of awards - Evening Standard Best Play Award, the Olivier Award for Best New Play 2001 and Critics' Circle Best New Play 2000. (RNT Cottesloe Theat re, 2000, and Duchess Theatre, 2001). Plays 1, available from Methuen, contains Some Voices, Pale Ho rse and Love And Understanding.
