"My Life" and encounters with alternate realities started out as a memoir for my children. Prodded by two psychics the author reviewed his life for a missing "fourth encounter with death'" resulting in a rewrite. Born in prewar Europe the author traces his maturation from innocent childhood through attempted brainwashing by the Soviets of school children, excellent education and harsh social environment in Nazi Germany, Close to the end of WW II after drowning in despondency he challenges the gods. Subsequently the author experienced situations created by forces of alternate reality which prompted the young boy to consider sharing these events with the world. Author's family escapes Soviet occupied Germany for West Germany where they integrated into Lithuanian society and completed his high school education. In 1952 the author immigrated to the United States, earned his BS degree and completed his military duty at home and overseas. He met his wife, a tourist from Boise,in Germany. After their marriage in Chicago they settled in Palo Alto, California to raise a family.

Author Biography

Paul was born in independent Lithuania. He experienced Soviet brain washing in primary school, received excellent middle school education in Nazi Germany and graduated from Lithuanian high school in West Germany when was active in Scouts. In 1952 he came to the states and earned a BS in physics. He did his military tour of duty at home and overseas, where he met his future wife Pat, an American tourist. They got married upon their return home. They settled in Palo Alto to raise their family. He came to Chicago in 1952 and graduated from the University of Illinois with a BS in physics. He completed his tour of duty with the US Army serving at home and overseas: England and Germany. He met Pat his future wife, a tourist from Boise, Idaho, in Wiesbaden, Germany. They got married in Chicago; several years later settled down in Palo Alto, California to raise a family, where they still live Paul was employed as a microwave engineer: initially for US defense, later for civilian satellite communications, Paul earned his MS degree in physics at night at San Jose State. They both traveled the world during summer vacations and after retirement volunteered. Paul as a nature docent leading hikes in the Santa Cruz mountains: school children weekdays and adults on Sundays.
