Description
From Oakland, CA the call for Reparations is being sounded to awaken Black people to let the healing of our people, families and community begin. "Got Reparations 21 Questions. 21 Answers"; is the latest book from author Menhuam Ayele, setting the ground work for bringing a definitive understanding of what Reparations is from the "floor" (ground) of the people. Through asking a series of questions and giving answers to those questions as well; Menhuam Ayele is urging Black people to authentically define and reach an understanding of what Reparations means for Black people in America. This is especially important when the U.S government is still in the premature stages of bringing definition of what it all encompasses. Throughout the book, you will see historical documents from the past in the U.S where several Black figures have looked at this idea of compensatory measures for repairing the people with some kind of repairing proposal for the people. This is just a start to kick off an ongoing plebiscite to ask more questions which will clarify what this topic of Reparations is all about for Black People. Got Reparations is a look at a dozen Reparations proposals throughout the history of Black people in America and a critical analysis of what it all could mean for the repair of Black people and family/community. It is intended that after reading this book that Black people, thinkers, visionaries, voices and leaders of Black people will be moved to take action amongst themselves to initiate the process of healing and restoration.
