Description
Having featured the most popular hawker foods and zi char dishes in their first two cookbooks, the MeatMen now share a brand new collection of their personal favorites in this third cookbook. Living in Singapore where they get to savor the best that Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian and Peranakan (Nyonya) cuisines have to offer, the MeatMen's favorites include some of the most awesome dishes from these different cultures. From succulent Chinese braised duck, flavorful Malay nasi kerabu (mixed rice salad), mouthwatering Indian tandoori chicken and buttery Eurasian sugee (semolina) cake to the quintessential Nyonya chap chye (stewed mixed vegetables), the dishes are all recreated in the MeatMen's usual effortless style, without the need for fancy cooking tools, kitchen equipment or special skills -- just immense passion for what they do best! So put on your apron and get cooking with the MeatMen today!
Author Biography
The MeatMen consists of a group of four guys who love their food, be it eating, cooking or capturing it on film. They first started recording what they cooked on video and shared the clips online in 2013 to prove that cooking at home is not difficult and can be fun. They quickly won over the hearts of the online community and now have more than 250,000 followers on Facebook and over 79,000 subscribers on YouTube, and the numbers are growing daily. In 2016, they collaborated with TLC (Discovery Networks) to produce Wok with Us, where they travel through Bangkok, Manila, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to explore unique dishes.
